So this year we didn’t want Santa to get a headache like he has in past years. Every time he came out of the chimney, he would inadvertently catch one of the stockings and pull the 5 pound brass hanger (the four of them spelled NOEL) off the mantel and onto his head.
This year (after some design meetings with Mrs. Pardo) I made a stand for the stockings.
I could of used some scrap Pine or Maple, but with the amount of coal I was expecting this year, I needed something stronger. I went with some scrap Ipe (from Advantage Lumber and the hardest natural wood known to man) and created a stand that Santa could sit on…
There is no glue in the construction, just 4 screws. This way it can be taken apart for easy storage.
